"YOU CAN DO IT LADIES, YOU CAN DO IT!"

These were the words that greeted Yvonne & I each day as we recently did a "boot camp".

Our sergeant major alternately shouting out instructions and providing words of encouragement. Well, it must have worked, as Yvonne & I did it! We ran on the sand, with weights. We did lunges, sit-ups, push-ups & much more.

I am going to replay to you! YOU CAN DO IT LADIES, YOU CAN DO IT - & this month has shown just what you can do! It has been a very exciting few weeks. What with new members joining, mugs flying out the door, products ordered and a general increase in awareness. WOW!

Every morning I rush to my computer to see what emails have come in and what happened while I was sleeping. That is the beauty of our business in that you decide the hours you keep. Especially great if you have small children, as once they are tucked in for the night, you can catch up.

Another big advantage that comes to mind is that Acorn Kids & Risso are not season driven! Imagine we sold "hot water bottles" for a living. Boy, would we have a problem in summer.

Fortunately for us, the kiddies bath "all year round". We need body products, "all year round" & perfume "all year round". Family & friends have birthdays (you guessed it) all year round.

That is really great. We can expect & achieve consistency.

Any business needs a plan. Nothing complicated. In fact, the simple ones work best. We need goals to work to. Have you ever got in your car, started the engine & then driven around in circles, not having a destination? Well, I hope not. Believe it or not, that is what many of us do with our business. What a waste of time & effort. We do need a plan & to know where we are going.

So, if someone asked you if you can sell 365 "Surfs-Up" during the year, what would you say? Probably "Gosh, I don’t know, that sounds like a lot".

But if you were asked "can you sell 1 Surfs-Up a day, I’m sure you would say " I can do that".

We need our long term goal: to sell 365 Surfs Up in the year. How do we achieve it? We sell 1 a day! All our goals & plans need to be broken down into manageable targets. Don’t forget, each time you achieve a goal - reward yourself. Enjoy your achievement, have a cup of tea & relax for 5 minutes, you have earned it. Little treats to our self are a great motivation.

Now, we have all heard about "the list". This is where we write down anyone & everyone we can think of who we can phone to tell about our business. We rack our brains over many hours & come up with " the list". Most Network Marketing companies will suggest approx 85 names( & of course, phone numbers). When (& if) that is complete, we look at it in horror & try to work out how many hours, days, weeks it will take us to phone each & every one.

Well ladies( & gents) your luck is in! I only want a list of 10! This is your ACTION LIST. Think carefully when you put these 10 important people on your ACTION LIST as they will be the start of all others.

Each day you phone 1! (More if time allows) Don’t forget when you phone, you have 2 things to offer them. 1. Would they like to be a dealer, there are amazing offers for them should they sign up, OR 2. would they like to purchase a product, either for themselves or their kiddies. Tell them how great the products are, what you use in your family & can personally recommend. ( Our 1st rule - Use your products)

Then, the next thing to ask them is for 1 recommendation. Most people will not think twice about giving you 1 name & number. Write that name at the bottom of the list, also making a note of the person who gave you their details. When you phone, you can say, we have a mutual friend in "Mary Smith" and you straight away have a connection point.

So we have our ACTION LIST of 10, adding names at the bottom and crossing of at the top, as we phone.

Don’t forget, start a note book, as you phone. Perhaps someone says, "I’m going on holiday, phone again in 2 weeks. Write that in the book with a big marker, saying phone on 21st,( as an example.) That info is valuable as she said "phone back". That means she is still a possible dealer or customer.

With your ACTION LIST of 10, you can actually phone 365 people during the year to tell them about your business & the great thing is, you did not have to think of them all at once yourself. They can also be all around the country, not restricted to any area.

Did you know you are more likely to get peoples attention if you smile? You can "hear" a smile over the phone! So, keep a mirror next to your phone , and as you phone, smile away ladies, smile away!

Getting back to" use your products". I recently asked a few dealers how many products Acorn & Risso has. Do you know? Well at present it is 85!. That is amazing, 85 products all made in our factory in Cape Town. How many have you tried? Drop me a line at mem@new.co.za and let me know your favourites.

And last but not least, Lisa van Zyl (104905) has this to say: My days had become boring, nothing new, nothing exciting! I then decided to sell Acorn, and it has changed my days dramatically - every order I receive and every time I deliver a batch of products I feel excited and fulfilled. The products are great fun and receiving positive feedback is rewarding.

Exciting News

The LETS GROW ACORN campaign has been extremely exciting and successful, and we have had many requests to extend it.

We are therefore extending the campaign, as well as the new-member special, until the end of April 2010.

All of the Fun Mugs have been handed out to their worthy recipients.

For April, each member who signs-up and makes active a new member will receive a branded Acornkids "Kids Lunch Box", with surprise products. Stocks are limited and we may have to substitute another product. Also, colours cannot be guaranteed. To make a member active, they need to either sign-up with the special (above), or buy 40 points of products at the time of joining.

Don't forget the new simple, easy to use, Opportunity Presentation, in an A4 PDF format you can print out. It is just 3 pages, and overviews the business opportunity, the products, and answers most questions.
